Ear Candling

Ear candling has been used by Naturopaths and natural healers for decades and is a safe and relaxing way to remove any excess debris that has been caught in the ears. It is usually accompanied with a gentle face and neck massage to enhance the effects of the candling.
What conditions does it treat?Did you know that the ears have a self cleaning mechanism that also lubricates and protects? But sometimes this cleaning process dysfunctions and causes glue ear, excess wax build-up and temporary loss of hearing. Candling may also help with sinus problems, tinnitus and may be helpful prior to medical syringing. It is not recommended for anyone with perforated ear drums.
What can I expect in a normal session?The candles are not candles as we know them, but tubes of cotton or linen that have been soaked in wax, rolled into shape and left to harden. One end of this tube is placed into your ear and the heat from the burning end causes a gentle vacuum that draws debris out of the ear into the lower end of the candle.
How long is a session?Treatment takes about 30 minutes.
